If his aim is to date the version of you he imagines instead of the person you truly are, he’s not your guy. Steer clear of men who are always trying to ‘improve’ or ‘upgrade’ you. Persistent criticism is code for conditional acceptance—they’ll only approve if you change. If that’s the case, show him the door, or walk out yourself.
